Not a great day. We had an earthquake and the deaths of 2 small children. The earthquake was so small (1.1) that I doubt anyone noticed. The death of 2 children, however, is horrific. If you are as goulish as I am, here are some links about the 2 children.

Keeping in mind that Livermore gets an average of 14 inches of rain per year, we have had a tremendous amount of rain in the last couple of weeks. We’ve had almost 1.75 inches (4.5 cm) of rain since the beginning of February. That moved us up to 70% of average for ( Read more... ) -

Disposal of household medications Oct. 4 in Livermore

Discarded medications flushed down the toilet have been showing up in the environment. Wastewater treatment does not remove these chemicals from the water. The City of Livermore is sponsoring a Drug Take-Back Event on Oct. 4 from 8am to 2pm at the Police Dept on S. Livermore ( Read more... ) -

A microearthquake occurred at 12:07:30 PM (PDT) on Wednesday, August 27, 2008.
The magnitude 1.3 event occurred 3 km (2 miles) NE of Dublin, CA.
The hypocentral depth is 14 km ( 9 miles).
I didn’t feel it.

The magnitude 1.5 event occurred 14 km (8 miles) SE of Livermore, CA.
The hypocentral depth is 6 km ( 4 miles).

There have been badger sitings at work!
